The Alliance Française of Providence is managed by a small team of 3 part time people.
Dominique Gregoire has been the Executive Director since October of 2015. He was associated with the Alliance Française of Providence as its President from 1998 to 2014. Born in France Dominique was a City Manager in a New Town, a blue-collar suburb of Rouen, the capital of Normandy until he moved to the United States with his family in 1986. He then was Director of Housing in the Governor's Office and worked for the City of Providence. Under his leadership the Alliance has grown from a $20,000.00 a year organization to a $200,000.00 budget in 2019. The Alliance purchased its headquarters in 2010 becoming one of only 12 Alliances in the USA owning their home.
Corinne Martin serves as the Language Center Coordinator. Born in France Corinne is a highly trained scientific professional who owned her own business in Nice before moving to the US with her family. She joined the Alliance in October 2015 and has managed the Language Center ever since growing it from 250 students a year to 430 in 2022. She organizes the classes for 10 teachers, scheduling, positioning students in the right level class and collecting the payments . In addition, Corinne has also proven herself to be a skilled teacher with several group and individual classes.
Janet Germano is our Director of Development. After joining the Board of Directors as Treasurer of the Alliance in 2010, Janet pivoted to her new role in October of 2017. She gained her experience for many years in the management of the International House of Rhode Island. Every year she writes and manages the Annual Appeal. She very closely monitors the memberships. She also actively participates in the organization and logistics of several events. Janet owned her own photography and video business for many years and her design skills are implemented in maintenance of the Website, the Newsletters and posters and flyers to advertise the activities of the Alliance.
