La Chorale / Chorale Group

2009/2010 SEASON - Wednesdays 7:30pm-9pm

In april 2006, the chorale group of the Alliance française celebrated its second year of singing in Providence. With a beautiful and original repertory of traditional, renaissance and popular french songs, the group performs several times a year in a real friendly atmosphere.
Give it a try.! If you know how to say "bonjour" et "bon appétît" you are good to join ! please, feel free to visit us during a period of rehearsal. French language should not be a bareer for you as all explanations are given in English language.

Rehearsals

The group join every Wednesday from 7:30pm to 9:00pm at our location on Meeting Sreet. We ask all singers to arrive before the time as we start on time.

2 seasons

The first season starts in September until December after our Chritmas concert.
The second season starts beginning of January until the end of May.

Our Choral Director

Jacqueline Duvillers, born in Rhode Island, relocated to the USA from France in the year 2000. She studied and taught piano in Paris and later specialized in 16th to 18th Century music and instruments. Jacqueline performed as a soloist on the recorder in concerts throughout France. She presentely teaches piano and recorder at The Music School of the Rhode Island Philarmonic. She is also the Director of music at St Mathew Trinity Lutheran Church in Pawtucket.

Registration, Information, Fees

You can register anytime during the year or the season. Any registration during a season will not guarantee your presence during the next performance.
