Mimi Freeman. Originally from Rhode Island, Mimi has degrees from Mount Holyoke and the University of New Hampshire. She taught in New Hampshire schools for 12 years and returned to Providence where she volunteered for RISD, for the Newport County Fund, as Chair for the Stephen Hopkins House, and for other organizations. She published "As for Ireland" (a travel guide). She has been studying French since 1983.
